Poem is a piece of writing in which the words are chosen for their sound and the images they suggest, not just for their obvious meanings. For this recital, the Alto Club will be delivering a programme of glorious works, which some pieces are seldomly performed in Hong Kong by Brahms, Loëffler , David, Heggie and Bridge to celebrate the beautiful resonation in between music and poetry.
Formed in the high time of self-reflecting and collecting, mezzo-soprano Carol Lin, violist Ringo Chan and collaborative pianist Alexander Wong joined forces and created the Alto Club in 2020. Through this unique set of combinations, each of the three members discovered a whole new side of music making together.
Prior to this coming up performance at S’way, the group has already given an unofficial debut back in March 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. Since then the Alto Club has moved their works primarily on streaming and recording platforms including Tom Lee Music Live.
